COVID-19: Afghanistan Reports 30 New Cases

Afghanistan on Wednesday, December 29, reported 30 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, bringing the nationwide case count to 158,037, official data shows.

Also, no patient has died of COVID-19 in the previous 24-hours period. The nationwide deaths stands at 7,356.

Health ministry’s data showed that 31 patients got better in the 24-hours period.

This pushed the total recoveries to 145,570.

Although COVID-19 infections has been at the lowest, officials ask residents to follow health measures.

Worldwide, more than 282.7 million people have been infected by the coronavirus, according to a NYT’s tally published on December 29.

The number of global deaths hit 5,411,977.
