Gunshots Fired into Air, Taliban Condemns

This comes following celebratory gunfires in several parts of Kabul as well as other provinces last night.

It is yet clear what the hours-long gunfire was for.

Reports say the celebratory gunshots were over the capture of Panjshir—what “Resistance Front” has issued denial.

In a video message released by media, Amrullah Saleh, a commander of the “Resistance Front” denied reports that Panjshir was captured by the Taliban, adding heavy fighting was ongoing between fighters of the two sides.

He also rejected reports that he had fled the country.
