The country recorded some 1,349 coronavirus related deaths within the last 24 hours, the highest daily rise in number of deaths for the second day in a row.
The country’s nationwide case count has jumped to 584,016 as 28,633 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours, while the death toll stood at 32,548.
More than 6.5 million people have been reported infected with the coronavirus pandemic globally and 384,955 have died, according to the Reuters’ coronavirus tracker.
