KABUL (The Killid Group) – Afghan security forces arrested Taliban’s shadow governor for Kalakan district of Kabul during an operation, officials said on Monday.
Sardar Mohammad, Taliban’s prominent leader and shadow governor for Kalakan district, was arrested in a raid by a special unit of National Directorate of Security in PD8 of the capital, NDS said in a statement.
Meanwhile, officials nabbed Sher Padshah, Malik and Hasibullah, the three aides of Mohammad.
According to NDS, Mohammad and his comrades have carried out numerous criminal and terrorist related activities, including rocket attack on Bagram airfield, looting and robbery extortions in the city.
Sardar Mohammad was previously in charge of Mir Bacha Kot district of Kabul, but the Taliban leaders summoned him to Peshawar and sent him back to Kabul to increase attacks in the city.
