SAMANGAN (The Killid Group) – Mowlawi Noorul Din, a self-proclaimed governor for Samangan province, killed during an airstrikes by Afghan security forces, local authorities said in a statement.

According to the statement, Afghan security forces carried an airstrikes around 10am on Sunday in Toqseen of Dare Soof Payen (Lower Soof Valley), killing Mowlawi Noorud Din, a self-proclaimed governor for Samangan province, including five of his members.

Munir Rahimi, spokesman for the Samangan police, told The Killlid, “today morning (Sunday), Mowlawi Noorud Din, including his members, were on their way to Toqseen of Dare Soof Payen from Hazrat Sultan district, where they were targeted with airstrikes and killed.”

Taliban immediately did not comment on the incident.
