Kabul (The Killid Group) – International Committee of the Red Cross that was boycotted by the Taliban early this year, can now relaunch operation throughout Afghanistan, the Taliban said in a statement.
According to the statement released Sunday, the Taliban said security pledge made by the group to ensure stability of all international institutions in Afghanistan had been broken, which boycotted all, including activities of the Swedish Committee in the country.
After a negotiations between the Taliban and officials of the ICRC in Doha, Qatar, the group did not just vow to lift sanctions, but also made further pledges in humanitarian sectors that allows the Swedish Committee to operate even in areas under control of the group, statement further said.
The lift came after the Taliban in April released a statement announcing activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Health Organization for what they called suspicious in areas influenced by the group.
