BALKH (The Killid Group) – At least eight Taliban insurgents killed and further three wounded during clashes with Afghan security forces in northern province of Afghanistan, local authorities said in a statement.
According to the statement released Thursday, Afghan forces carried airstrikes against Taliban in Chatmal, Charbolak and Sholgara district of Balkh province, killing at least eight members of the group and three other injured.
Meanwhile, in another operation in Bai Temoz village of Chatmal district, three Taliban injured, as well as in Temorak of Charbolak district, five members of a Taliban commander Asadullah Wafa killed in Mazar-Sheberghan highway.
The statement said further, in a separate operation in Siyab village of Sholgara, three members of Mullah Mataeullah Umri, deputy governor of a self-proclaimed Taliban governor for Balkh province, killed.
Taliban immediately did not comment on the incident.
