Key Taliban Commander Killed in Farah

FARAH (The Killid Group) – At least nine Taliban, including one of their key commander, killed and further three wounded during a battle with Afghan security forces in Bala Blook and Pusht Koh districts of Farah province, local authorities said.

FARAH (The Killid Group) – At least nine Taliban, including one of their key commander, killed and further three wounded during a battle with Afghan security forces in Bala Blook and Pusht Koh districts of Farah province, local authorities said.

Mohibullah Mohib, spokesman for the Farah province, told The Killid, “last night (Tuesday), the Taliban attacked security forces in Shewan village of Bala Blook district, where a key commander of the Taliban Mullah Rahmat and his two members were killed during clashes.

Meanwhile, six further Taliban killed and three other injured during clashes in Pusht Koh district of the province, he added.

According to Mohib, Afghan commandos and special unit of Afghan National Police are deployed in Anar Dara (valley), and have the situations under control.

Forces also arrested four suspects of links with the Taliban group in the province.

Taliban did not comment on the incident.
