Herat (The Killid) – As the country welcomed 1398 of Afghan calendar, Herat province reported at least two people killed and 93 further wounded in multiple traffic collisions in west of the country – a not so good first-day of the year.
Arif Gelani, a physician at the provincial hospital, said to the Killid, “Two people are killed and 93 further landed in hospitals in several accidents in the province.”
According to Gelani, 30 percent of the inflicted causalities are women and children.
Gelani said that 40 percent of the victims are cutting a rough time in hospitals, as they suffer severe pain and injuries, who are under medication and special care of the local officials of the hospitals.
Meanwhile, residents labeled traffic jams and reckless driving in the city some major factors to the consecutive incidents.
