Afghanistan’s national cricket team defeated Ireland in the ODI practice match, national cricket board announced.

According to a statement by Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), the Afghan national cricket team opted to bat first after winning the toss and then posted 263 in 44.1 overs.

Player Hashmat Shahidi, scored 60, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Najib Zadran each scored 59 and 53 respectively, read the statement.

In bowling, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Sayed Shirzad each secured three wickets while Gulbadin Naib and Mohammad Nabi each took two wickets.

A three-match ODI series between Afghanistan and Ireland will kick off January 18, 2021 with the remaining ODIs to be played on January 21 and 23.
