Babur who raped a 7-year-old girl in Bilcheragh district of the northern Faryab province on Saturday, August 08, has been arrested, said Hanif Rezaiee, a spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Army Corps.
A delegation led by Haibatullah Alizai, commander of the army corps, has met with the rape victim’s family to ensure a fair and thorough probe of the case, Mr. Rezaiee continued.
The provincial health department confirmed the sexual assault, saying the girl was in unstable health condition.
