An IED blast inside the Shir Shah Suri mosque in Kart-e 4 area of the capital Kabul killed four people, the Imam of the Mosque and three worshippers, confirmed Tariq Arian, a spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Interior.
A number of worshippers have also been injured, said the ministry spokesman, adding that further details are yet to come.
No group has so far claimed responsibility.
