GHAZNI (The Killid) – An explosion is reported in the Transport Chowk area of Ghazni, southeastern province, early Sunday morning – dozens feared killed and injured, including children.
Mohammad Arif Noori, Spokesman for the Provincial Governor, told The Killid, “the explosion occurred around 8:30am today (Sunday) near a Police District at Shamer city of Ghazni.”
According to Noori, the bomb was embedded into a vehicle, where at least 12 – including civilians – were killed and 29 further civilians wounded – school students are said to be majority.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they targeted an intelligence center; bud did not provide further details.
