KABUL (The Killid) – Officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry says investment opportunities in Afghanistan are promising, as they see good foundation in agriculture, industry and mining in the country.
Zuhooruddin Sherzada, Deputy Minister of the MoCI, during the 2nd Conference on Commercialization of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan said the purpose for holding such a conference is to boost cooperation in areas such as: economy, trade and transit between private sectors of both countries.
Mohammad Younis Momand, Deputy to Chamber of Commerce and Industry said to The Killid, “Afghan traders still face a lot of problems concerning visa and tariff, and this aspect must be taken under consideration. Afghan traders must be more facilitated.”
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Afghanistan Halim Khan Yasin Galdino said Afghan traders can get visas easily unless they obtain all the requirements.
According to Galdino, investment opportunities in Afghanistan are fine, and Kazakhstan is committed to providing facilities and privileges to Afghan exports into his country.
“We are committed to partnering with Afghan traders and provide them with more business opportunities to create more opportunities for import and export between Afghan and Kazakhstan traders,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the country currently exports $13 million worth of agricultural goods to Kazakhstan.
