Afghan President Writes Letter to Nawaz Sharif, Suggesting Parliamentary Dialogues

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani wrote a letter to Pakistan Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif in which parliamentary dialogues between both countries was suggested. Pakistani media reported that PM Nawaz Sharif has forwarded Ashraf Ghani’s request to Speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and foreign office. According to reports, the speaker has already started consulting parliamentary parties over the proposal. The report also stated that a parliamentary delegation along with officials of foreign office of Pakistan will visit Afghanistan soon to normalise the circumstances, and to reduce tensions between both countries. Meanwhile Afghan government has not commented on the report of Pakistani media yet.
