The Possibility of Turkey Agreeing to Finland’s Membership in NATO

Erdogan said to a group of young people that he can give a positive answer to Finland’s request for membership in NATO.

He did not say anything about Sweden, but he said last week that the country cannot count on Turkey’s support for NATO membership.

Finland has also recently said that it may apply for NATO membership on its own.

This is despite the fact that following the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Sweden, relations between the two countries have become tense.
