Biden: We Killed the Al-Qaeda Network leader

During a speech at the White House, the US President announced that the air operation against Ayman al-Zawahiri, who was involved in the September 11th attacks, was launched a week after it was planned.

According to Biden, no damage was done to the family members of the Al-Qaeda leader and civilians in this airstrike.

He emphasized that USA will never allow Afghanistan to become a safe haven for terrorists.

This is while Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, has confirmed and condemned the air attack by American drones in Kabul and said that this is against international principles and the Doha Agreement. According to Mujahid, such actions are a repetition of America’s past twenty years of experience and are against the interests of the United States, Afghanistan and the region. The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate did not say anything about the death of the Al-Qaeda leader; but it states that an attack has taken place on a residential house. It should be mentioned that some members of the US Congress and the government of Saudi Arabia have welcomed the leader of Al-Qaeda’s death in Afghanistan.
