In a statement released Wednesday by the Afghan Ministry of Defense, top Afghan and U.S. security officials met and discussed security situation and the Afghan peace process.
The minister emphasized on RS mission’s continued support to Afghan security and defense forces.
The visit on the peace process comes as an upcoming peace conference on Afghanistan is set to be held in Istanbul on April.
The April peace conference has invited representatives from both the Afghan government and the Taliban.
