The fire broke out late Monday at a migrant center in Ciudad Juarez, on the border between Mexico and the United States. It is said that this area was one of the main crossings for immigrants to the United States.
At the time of the fire, 68 people from Central and South America were being held at the facility, officials said. According to these officials, the victims were from Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela, and El Salvador.
