According to the media, this destructive storm, which was accompanied by lightning and rain, caused the electricity to be cut off for tens of thousands of families in the states of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.

A severe storm hit Rolling Fork town, located in the state of Mississippi, on Friday night 24th of March, leaving a lot of damage.

According to eyewitnesses, this storm was so strong that it lifted debris hundreds of meters into the sky.
Bruce Williams, who is one of these eyewitnesses, says:
“Many houses have been destroyed and the exact amount of damage is not known yet. The amount of damage will be determined in the coming days.”

William Burns, another local resident says:
“We lost everything. We collected the only things left and put them in the car”

As the weather clears, the morning after the storm, the extent of damage to residential houses, public facilities, and cars in this city is fully visible.

Most of the residents of this city have completely lost their homes and are now living in temporary homes.
The United States government has declared a state of emergency in the states of Mississippi and Alabama which suffered the most damage.

According to officials, due to the extent of this storm and the damage caused, the number of victims is expected to increase in the coming days.

Meanwhile, rescue teams rescued people trapped under the rubble on the morning of Saturday, the 25th of March.
According to experts, such storms occur as a result of climate change and the increase in sea level temperature, which is increasing with a new wave of climate change in the world.
