According to this diplomat, the representative of the Islamic Emirate will officially start his work at the Afghan embassy in Tehran next Sunday.
Meanwhile, Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said in a press conference that the end of a diplomat’s mission and handing over the responsibility of the embassy to another diplomat does not mean a change in the legal status of the embassy.
However, he emphasized that Iran’s position on how to interact with the current government of Afghanistan has not changed.
It should be mentioned that before this, the embassies of Afghanistan in some other countries, including Russia and Pakistan, have also been entrusted to the representatives of the Islamic Emirate.
