At the end of his mission in this position, Shorter posted on Twitter that the restrictions on women and girls are detrimental to sustainable growth and stability in Afghanistan.
He called stability dependent on the participation of all parts of the society and emphasized that further isolation of Afghanistan will not benefit the people.
At the same time, this UK official says that, this country has provided humanitarian aid worth more than 600 million dollars to millions of Afghans since April 2021.
However, the UK government has not said anything about the new head of the country’s political representation for Afghanistan.
