Mr. Abdullah, who recently returned to the country after a month-long trip to India and visiting his family, announced his support for inter-Afghani talks aimed at consolidating national unity and the participation of all political parties.
According to the announcement published on his Facebook page, he asked the US government to continue providing humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan.
Thomas West has assured Mr. Abdullah that the US will continue to support the people of Afghanistan.
Recently, Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, also spoke with the US special envoy for Afghanistan about the reopening of girls’ schools above the sixth grade and the economic situation and expressed his concerns.
