The Ministry of Interior Affairs of Turkey, announced in a statement: “since the beginning of 2020, 73,836 illegal immigrants, including Afghans, have been transferred to their countries”.

1847 Afghans Have Been Deported From Turkey, in One Week

Turkey’s Anatolia news agency, citing this announcement, reported that 1,847 Afghan immigrants were deported from this country in just one week.

The source added these Afghans, who entered Turkey illegally, were arrested and deported to their country.

On the other hand, the Turkish Ministry of Interior affairs said: “During 2020, (200,897) asylum seekers have been prevented from entering the country illegally.

It should be mentioned that most Afghans go to Turkey illegally through Iran’s borders to reach European countries, but most of them are arrested and sent back to Afghanistan after torture.
