The spokesperson of the Ministry of Disasters Management says that in the past month, 182 people have died due to floods in different parts of the country.
Mohammad Nasim Haqqani said:” more than 250 people have been injured as a result of these floods”.
According to him, most of the casualties caused by floods have been recorded in Logar, Nuristan, Nangarhar, Parwan, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Zabul and Kandahar provinces.
Meanwhile, according to the statistics provided by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan (OCHA), 256 people died in the country due to floods in 2022.
