John Kirby said in a press conference that US will not allow Afghanistan to become a safe haven for terrorists, so they will harm the United States from there.
He added that the US has the ability to launch operations against terrorists without a military presence in Afghanistan.
It should be noted that this attack was launched about a year after the withdrawal of US forces and its allies from Afghanistan.
However, the Islamic Emirate has not yet confirmed the death of Ayman Al-Zawahiri in Kabul.
