“The ministry of public health launched the fourth nationwide polio vaccination campaign aimed at vaccinating 9.9 million children under the age of five,” the ministry said in a statement posted on Facebook.
The latest campaign was launched in collaboration with the United Nations children agency (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO), according to the statement.
Children, aged between six months to five, will also receive vitamin (A) capsules during the campaign, it added.
UNICEF, or the U.N. fund for children, announced the start of the campaign in a Twitter post.
