According to the health officials in Balkh, the provincial case count has jumped to 942 as 22 additional cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
As of today, 37 patients having been contracted with the coronavirus disease have recovered back while a total of 32 patients have lost the battle for their lives, officials added.
These officials further added that of the total patients, 90 of them have been hospitalized and the rest were either quarantined or isolated.
The total cases of coronavirus in Afghanistan, however, has risen to 13,036 as 580 newly-confirmed cases were registered in the past 24 hours.
