In a recent tweet, Javid Faisal, a spokesman for the Office of National Security Council (ONSC) said the armed Taliban continued violence during the 30 days of holy month of Muslims, leaving civilian casualties in 30 provinces of the country.

According to the data provided by the ONSC spokesperson, during the Muslims holy month of Ramadan, as many as 146 civilians, including women and children, were killed and 430 others wounded by the Taliban militants.

Earlier, he announced the Taliban insurgents have killed at least 17 civilians in 17 provinces of the country and injured 49 others in the first week of the Muslims holy month of Ramadan.

During the second week of Ramadan, as many as 25 civilians were killed and 74 more were wounded as a result of the group’s attacks.

In the third week of Ramadan, likewise, they continued violence, leaving 79 civilians killed and 218 others injured.

The armed group, however, has not commented so far
