KABUL (The Killid Group) – Officials of the Ministry of Education inked at least eight accords worth $6.6 million with several donors to enhance quality education in Afghanistan.

Mohammad Mirwais Balkhi, Head of the MoE, said at a ceremony held in Kabul Monday that through these agreements, the donors will help MoE to enhance capacity building of its personnel, provide special courses for illiterate persons, establish educational program for persons with disabilities, establish kindergarten and outreach educational programs for people who do not have access to basic education.

“The Ministry intends to provide high-quality curriculum for education and community-based services,” he said. The budget will be used in education sectors throughout the country.

The aid came at a time educational departments, including citizens, raised concern over a low-quality curriculum in the country.
