Faryab (The Killid) – At least seven armed Taliban insurgents have surrendered on Friday to Afghan forces in Qaisar District of Faryab province, Provincial security authorities confirmed.
Karim Yourish, Faryab Police spokesman said to Killid that a group of 40 armed insurgents, led by Mullah Sher Mohammad, have been carrying terror attacks in Qaisar, Elmar, and Pashtun Kut districts of Faryab.
At least seven members of the group have handed over their weapons and themselves to Afghan security forces, he added.
According to the forces, these insurgents have come to realize their mistakes and have voluntarily turned over to the government.
The insurgents exclaimed these terror attacks are mostly being carried out by Pakistani, Iranian and Chechnya Taliban, who targets ordinary civilians.
