Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, posted on Twitter that this operation was launched in the Karte Naw area in the 8th security district of Kabul city.
Without giving more details, he posted that several ISIS fighters were killed in this operation.
According to Mujahid, these ISIS members, including foreigners, were involved in the recent attacks in Kabul.
The Islamic Emirate has always emphasized that the ISIS group will not be allowed to operate in Afghanistan.
