The United Nations Called for a Ceasefire in Syria

The United Nations Human Rights Commissioner, after the recent severe earthquake in Syria and Turkey, has now called for a ceasefire in Syria to facilitate the process of providing aid to the earthquake victims.

The United Nations Called for a Ceasefire in Syria

According to UN officials, probably 5.3 million people lost their homes in Syria. Meanwhile, the total number of victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has reached at least 23,700 people.
Now after 5 days, The United Nations Human Rights Commissioner, has called for a ceasefire in Syria to facilitate the process of providing aid to the earthquake victims.

This is while the refugees of the 12-year war in Syria have suffered the most problems caused by the recent earthquake in this country. People who had previously lost their homes in the war between the Syrian government and its armed opposition.
