Stopping and Reducing the Activity of 83% of Aid Organizations in Afghanistan

Ned Price said in a press conference that this decision of the Islamic Emirate is unacceptable for the international community and harms 28 million Afghans in need, especially women and children.

At the same time, he said that since August 2021, the US has helped the people of Afghanistan worth 1.1 billion dollars.

According to Price, this money has not been made available to the Islamic Emirate but has been delivered to the people of Afghanistan through aid agencies.

It should be mentioned that despite the suspension or the activities of some international aid organizations in Afghanistan, the Islamic Emirate has not reconsidered its decision to ban women’s work in domestic and foreign non-governmental offices.
