3000 People Started Working in 39 Industrial Factories in Helmand

People are happy to build these factories, but they demand more.

Gholam Yahya Pashtun, head of Helmand’s Private Industry and Trade Association, told Radio Killid that the activated factories are working in the field of chicken feed supply, pipe making, and cotton processing.

(Currently, about 3000 people are employed in these factories. Our current effort is to encourage domestic and foreign businessmen to invest heavily in Helmand).

The residents of Helmand consider the construction of such factories as important in this province and demand the Islamic Emirate and national traders to further develop industrial growth.

One of the residents of Lashkargah named Abdullah told Killid: Helmand is a large agricultural and industrial province in the country. He says that if the government and national businessmen in Helmand pay more attention to the industrial sector, Helmand will be a major source of domestic production for other provinces.

(My request to the government and national businessmen is to build more factories so that all young people can work in their own country instead of going to other countries).

Jam Gul has a food stall in Lashkargah city. His daily income is only 100 AFNs and he requests the Islamic Emirate and national businessmen to establish more industrial factories in Helmand, in order to reduce the level of poverty and create job opportunities.

(All day in the city, I sell food items. I earn 100 AFNs a day. Sometimes it happens that I do not earn anything.))

The people who work in these factories are happy that they have the opportunity to work. In Sardar Gul Mohammad Khan Industrial Township in Lashkargah city, in a cotton processing factory, a worker named Noor Mohammad says that now he is working here and can meet his daily needs with his monthly salary of 8000 AFNs.
(I was unemployed before. Now I am very happy to work here. This way I can support my household expenses.))

Gholam Nabi, a worker of a cotton factory in the Bolan area, located in the third district of Lashkargah city, which has recently been activated, says that he sometimes works at night shift in addition to his day shift job, and this way he can earn more money.

(Using this job, we can solve many of our economic problems. I am busy here during the day and night. The work is not boring. Many people are busy here.))

Mawlawi Abdulwali Hashemi, the head of the industry and trade department of Helmand, says that about three big industrial townships in Helmand are ready for investment. According to him, in this regard, national businessmen have been encouraged to establish various other factories in Helmand’s industrial townships.
Mawlawi Mohammad Qasem Riyaz, head of the Helmand Information and Culture Department, says that the leadership of Helmand province has started efforts to create facilities for national businessmen in every field, which paves the way for industrial growth.

This is while the two big government factories in Helmand are facing many problems due to lack of electricity, budget, and other problems.
