Itamar Ben-Gvir, the first member of the Israeli cabinet in the last five years, entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday (3rd January).
In a declaration of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, it is stated that the international community should react to these illegal actions of Israel.
Meanwhile, Ned Price, the spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called Itamar’s arrival at Al-Aqsa Mosque worrying.
On the other hand, Naser Kanani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, says that this action shows a violation of international regulations and an insult to the values and sanctities of Muslims.
According to the 1994 peace agreement between Israel and Jordan, Al-Aqsa Mosque is under the supervision of the Islamic Foundations Department of Beit Al-Maqdis affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf Islamic Affairs and Holy Places.
