The Islamic Emirate’s Efforts to Solve Girls’ Education Issues

According to an announcement by the Ministry of Interior, Serajuddin Haqqani said in his meeting with Markus Potzel, the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Afghanistan, and Scott Smith, the Political Deputy of the organization’s office in Kabul, that the Islamic Emirate thinks about the welfare of the people.

In this meeting, Markus Potzel expressed his concern about banning girls’ education and imposing other restrictions.

However, the Acting Minister of Interior Affairs has said that the work is ongoing on a permanent and reasonable solution to these problems, considering Islamic rules and the culture of the Afghan people.

It should be mentioned that Potzel also met with Hamid Karzai, the former president of the country, and both sides emphasized the reopening of educational centers for girls and the return of women to work.
