The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a speech on Saturday (03 December), severely criticized the US policy in supporting the ‘Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) based in northern Syria and said: “They came from thousands of kilometers away and supporting the terrorist groups near our borders”.
He continued: “You are witnessing with your own eyes that they have launched a proxy war against Turkey on our southern borders”.
The Turkish president also said that “the creation of a 30-kilometer security strip along Turkey’s southern borders will continue”.
