Haji Zaid, the spokesman of the governor of Kandahar, tells Killid that several meetings were held between Afghan and Pakistani representatives to reopen this crossing.
The Spinboldak-Chaman crossing was blocked on Sunday last week after a Pakistani soldier was killed by an unknown person.
According to the Dawn newspaper of Pakistan, the authorities of Pakistan have demanded a joint investigation on the identification and arrest of the murderer of this soldier.
On the other hand, the Afghan authorities have proposed to create a separate road to solve the problems of Afghan women at the Spinboldak-Chaman crossing and hire female security personnel from Pakistan.
