At the beginning of this year, the United Nations announced that 24.4 million people in Afghanistan are facing poverty and hunger.

This organization had asked for 4.1 billion dollars to deal with 22.1 million people.

But OCHA has said in its latest report that so far only 33% of this budget has been provided to the United Nations and this organization is facing a 77% budget deficit to deal with the needy Afghans.

The report states that Afghan families will face a difficult situation in the coming winter.

According to OCHA statistics, in the first half of this year, partial assistance was provided to 22.9 million people, which is about 94% of the needy people.
