Hafez Mobin, the spokesman of the police department of this province, said the man killed his wife by beating her to death.
According to Mobin, this incident occurred in the Shah Zafar area of Trinkot city, the center of Uruzgan province.
He added that this incident occurred due to family violence and it is under investigation.
Meanwhile, a doctor at the Uruzgan provincial hospital, without mentioning his name, told Radio Killid that the woman had lost a huge amount of blood and died when she arrived at the hospital.
According to reports, family violence, especially violence against women, has recently increased in Uruzgan.
