According to Iranian media, Pakistan’s special representative visited Iran and met and talked with Iran’s foreign minister, Amir Abdollahian.
Mohammad Sadiq Khan traveled to Iran to consult with Iran about Afghanistan’s developments.
During this meeting, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs said that there are more than four and a half million Afghan immigrants living in Iran, and more than one and a half million of them entered Iran after the Islamic Emirate get into power.
Emphasizing the return of Afghan refugees to Afghanistan, he said that the Islamic Republic of Iran uses all its capacities to establish peace and tranquility in Afghanistan.
Abdullahian has also announced his country’s readiness to hold an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries.
Last year, Iran also hosted a meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries.
At the same time, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, while being concerned about insecurity and the increase in drug trafficking, said political changes in Afghanistan are the reason for the influx of Afghan refugees to these two countries.
