The CNN TV channel, citing two informed sources, has reported that the intelligence officials of the United States and the Islamic Emirate have met in Qatar.

According to this report, in this meeting some officials such as David Cohen; the US Deputy of the Central Intelligence Agency, and Abdulhaq Vasiq; The general chief of intelligence of the Islamic Emirate were present.

But so far, the United States and the Islamic Emirate have not officially specified the discussed topics in this meeting.

At the same time, it has been said that Tom West; The US special representative for Afghanistan was also present in this meeting.

However, a number of political experts believe that efforts are underway to establish relations between the US and other countries.

Hashem Qiyam, one of the political experts, considers the relations of the Islamic Emirate with the US and other countries as an important part of the recognition of the current government and emphasizes the establishment of relations between Afghanistan and other countries.

“When the US and the Islamic Emirate officials enter into dialogue and the obstacles to the relations between the two sides are removed, we can be hopeful that Afghanistan will get out of the current situation.”

At the same time, Seyyed Akbar Agha, another political expert said: “This meeting possibly will have significant results unlike other meetings”.

He also added this is a preliminary meeting that will pave the way for bigger meetings.

“Both sides felt that apart from the held assemblies, they should hold a meeting that would have significant results, that I think this meeting will have it.”

On the other hand, Yusuf Amin Zazai, a military affairs expert, told Killid: “No one reflects the basic problems and main demands of Afghanistan, neither the current government nor the world.”

After repeated efforts, we failed to get the Islamic Emirate’s opinion in this regard.

It should be noted that this is the first meeting between the intelligence officials of the Islamic Emirate and the United States after the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan.
