According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during this meeting, Nicholson said: “Humanitarian aid alone cannot solve Afghanistan’s economic problems and fundamental work must be done”.
On the other hand, referring to the imposed sanctions, he emphasized that Afghans should not be punished collectively, because, in his opinion, this action harms the peace and the fight against insecurity and the current achievements.
At the same time, Nicholson condemned the attack on the Kaaj educational center in Kabul.
Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs said that Afghanistan and the international community must have a clear solution for positive interaction and progress.
He emphasized that the realities of Afghanistan should be understood and interacted with in light of it.
This is despite the fact that so far no country has recognized the current government of Afghanistan.
