It is posted on his Twitter: “Yusuf Qaradhawi, who spent his life expressing the rules of Islam and defending the Muslim Ummah, joined the mercy of God.”
96-year-old Sheikh Qaradhawi was an Egyptian scholar and had citizenship of Qatar.
He was one of the prominent scholars of the Islamic world and for some time, he also worked as the chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.
There are many published works left by Yusuf Qarzawi, and some of these works have been translated into different languages, including Pashto and Dari.
