Iran Human Rights Watch announced on Saturday evening (24 September) that 54 people were killed by the security forces during demonstrations in different cities of Iran.
The protests in Iran started ten days ago, a 22-year-old girl died after being arrested by the security forces for not wearing the hijab.
During these marches, the security forces used tear gas and guns to disperse the protesters.
This is while the international organizations of a number of countries have condemned the violence against the protesters and have asked the Iranian authorities to arrest and punish the perpetrators.
