At least 24 people, including women and children, have died and several others are missing due to the sinking of a ship carrying Hindu pilgrims in Bangladesh.

The Reuters news agency, citing Bangladeshi officials, reported that the ship sank with seventy passengers in the Kurutwa Sea in the north of the country, and the rescue teams were able to save ten of its passengers.

However, around 30 passengers of this ship are missing and efforts are underway to find them.

It should be mentioned that these passengers, wanted to participate in the religious festival of Durga in the Bodhishwari temple.

In December 2021, 40 people died in Bangladesh, after their ship caught fire.
