Bagram Airfield, one of the largest US military bases in the past twenty years, has ceased to operate after the withdrawal of US forces.
The Ministry of National Defense has announced: “Based on the guidance of the Ministry’s leadership, reactivating, repairing and cleaning Bagram Airfield has been started by National Engineering Brigade Personnel.
The source also added that the professional and technical team of the National Engineering Brigade of the Ministry of National Defense are trying to prepare this airport, using the vehicles and facilities they have, as soon as possible.
According to officials of the Islamic Emirate, the US forces destroyed many facilities and parts of Bagram Airfield before leaving.
