The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by publishing a statement, said: “The conflicts between the border forces of the two countries, which have caused casualties and displacement of civilians are worrying and regrettable”.

The source also added that the continuation of conflicts between the border forces of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will have a negative impact on the security and stability of the region.

It should be noted that the clashes between the border forces of these two countries started last week, as a result of which more than 80 people were killed from both sides.

Earlier this week, the two sides agreed on a ceasefire, but the state-run Tajikistan’s Khawar News Agency reported that the ceasefire had been violated by Kyrgyzstan.

The source added that the two sides agreed on a ceasefire a few hours later.
