Muhammad Sadeq, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, posted on his Twitter that the third phase of the Allama Iqbal scholarship program from 2022 to 2031 will begin soon, and Pakistan will spend more than 12 billion PKR to finance this scholarship program.
He added that one-third of the scholarships have been allocated for girls.
Sadegh wrote that in the Allamah Iqbal scholarship program, Afghan students are recruited in various fields, including medical, engineering, and agriculture.
According to Pakistani officials, every year more than 30,000 Afghan students compete for 1,500 scholarships in this country.
